Super late to the game this week, please forgive me!

A LOT happened last week:

• 3 of my portfolio companies got term sheets! It’s deal season!

• I raised the capital for my 2nd SPV into a Nashville startup.

• I helped host over 100 investor meetings for Project Healthcare and Project FinTech founders at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center! (FYI- applications for their next cohort are now open!)

• I attended Nashville Entrepreneur Day at Geodis and ran into way too many people to name them all (:

I switched up my weekly office hours to now be Thursday morning coffee chats!

This Friday I’ll be in Boston. If there’s anyone I should meet, let me know.

Startup stuff that’s cool

• I caught up with Brian, founder of Arena Labs. They are looking for a super get-shit-done product manager. Ideally someone who has startup experience before and is super passionate about their space of human performance. Ping me if you think you fit the bill.

• I met Ben, founder of SkySpect. They are building inventory management software for car dealerships. I am very curious about this niche space and they already have relationships with their customers.

• We had a Lighthouse Founder Dinner at Hall’s. Got to hangout with some of my favorite people/most impressive founders I know like Grace, Dan & Seth, Joey, Tyler, Charlie, Cooper, and Mike.

• Wednesday, May 28th: I’m teaching Capital 101 at the EC

• Tuesday, June 3rd: Getting Started as an Angel Investor

  • I’ll be teaching only 12 folks in an intimate group!

• Friday, June 6th: Equity 101: Founder Equity from Issuance to Exit

  • Afterwards, we are hosting legal office hours. Ping me if you’re interested.

• Thursday, June 12th: Engineers Only: Meet Nashville Startups

  • This event is only for founders and engineers!!

• Saturday, September 6th: Lightspeed Hackathon

  • I’ve been wanting to host a hackathon for forever! I’m still early in planning stages, but would love to hear thoughts/feedback/ideas/interest from people.

Startup jobs

• Paid Media Specialist at Heard Music. Build the Moneyball of music.

• Social Media Coordinator at Metaflex. Build the grip-strengthening glove for pain relief and mobility.

• Several roles with Legion Studios. Lead unreal engineer, artist, 3D artist, animator. Build a dark fantasy video game.

• Jr Account Executive for a b2b saas startup. Ideally looking for someone who has been an SDR and wants to level up and manage the full pipeline!

Personal updates

I had the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER. 29!

We biked 25 miles at Tour De Nash, cold plunged at Framework, ate dinner at Present Tense, and celebrated with ice cream cake at Dairy Queen! (my cake said ‘happy birthday zat’ which made it extra hilarious).
