Lots of updates!!

Update 1: Angel investment #14 is into Joe at Send-It Healthcare. They’re building a marketplace to connect hospitals and physicians. Here’s why I’m so excited:

• If you know me, you know that I don’t really do healthcare. Joe made me break that rule because he’s that awesome (:

• Joe has lived the problem he’s trying to solve. As COO at a hospital he struggled with staffing (especially finding good doctors) and then worked at a staffing firm that doctors didn’t love, but saw how it there was a better way.

• I had the pleasure of connecting Joe with his founding engineer, Julie. Honestly, Julie had a lot of job options, but she picked Send-It because Joe convinced her on the mission and what they could do together! They’re recruiting a rockstar team.

• I love founders who are all in and Joe is as all-in as it gets. The company is called Send-It because he is just ‘sending-it’. This guy has his team meeting at the Brentwood library because every dollar goes toward growth.

• Someone found this deal before I did! Shout out to Ariella at NewStack for sourcing a Nashville founder I didn’t know (:

• Founding engineer/head of engineering. Startup has revenue and is venture backed. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to be a CTO someday soon. React/Javascript. Looking for systems architect who can also speak business. 125-175k salary + equity.

• Product lead. Someone who has experience building 0 → 1 before. Super scrappy. Moves fast and likes to figure things out on their own.

• Full cycle sales rep who can generate their own deals. Ideally has shown success generating deals with a relatively unknown brand before. Will pay for the right person.

• Product Manager for web3 startup. MUST have blockchain experience.

Startup stuff that’s cool

• I caught up with Eli who’s building the operating system for sports businesses at StatStak. They are growing fast and are hiring for Account Managers!

• A bunch of Vandy students are looking for help on getting to a conference and covering the cost of tickets + a booth. If you can help Zul and the Clab AI team, please reach out to her!!

• I caught up with Griffin at Juke, a fan engagement platform that now works with the Preds, Titans, and NSC!

• I had dinner with a bunch of awesome founders at Butcher and Bee thanks to my friend Pavel. Mark with HeroWear, Josh with CarePool, Ben with stealth healthcare ai startup, Kris with MoneyKit, Alexander with Resolut, Geordan with Moving Muscle, and Danny with Kaboo.

• I met Lorenzo who just moved here from Miami to build VANT an AI-powered identity verification company.

Startup house

We now have 4 phone booths!!! And are about to put art on the walls!!! The work here will never be done, but I am so close to being ‘done enough’ lol.

Personal updates

If you’re looking for Valentine’s Day plans, my favorite thing I did last year was take Mr Zap to the Daddy’s Dogs Valentines Dinner!!! They really make it a hilarious and uniquely fun experience, 1000% worth it. I want to do the Chef’s Table that they’re offering this year but am a bit too cash poor lol but if anyone goes, let me know how it is!!!
