Something bigtime is coming and I need everyone to know about it!!!

3686 is September 14th–16th. It's the biggest startup event in Tennessee.

I'm putting together three events that week:

1. The RHOdeo- Tuesday, Sept 15, 7:30–9pm, Wild Beaver Saloon

Mechanical bull riding competition. Longest ride wins. Rho is covering the rides and there are drink tickets at the door.

2. Lighthouse Open House, Wednesday, Sept 16, 9–10:30am

We almost never open the house up to the public, so this is your chance!! Coffee truck out front, come see the space and meet the people building in it. Thank you to Derrick (FBT), Andrea (Rho), and Tommy (Riverfront) for helping me make it happen.

3. Startup & Tech Job Fair, Wednesday, Sept 16, 11am–2pm, Brooklyn Bowl

This is the one I'm most fired up about! First year LaunchTN is running this. 30 startups, 10 major tech companies, 300+ people. Open to all of Tennessee tech, you do not need a 3686 badge to come. If you're hiring, hmu! If you want to come as talent, stay tuned for details about that!

Lighthouse updates

• I am looking for a Talent Partner to join the Lighthouse. It’s the opportunity for someone to team up with me to build a startup recruiting company and startup talent ecosystem here in Nashville.

• Team OneTap has moved into the Lighthouse! It was a hectic week moving everything, but Eric and crew is settled. They are really helping us upgrade the house because their team is very handy. My office has moved to the entryway of the house to fit everyone (:

• I am spending a lot of time hiring right now. More engineers, customer success, sales, etc.

• Closing my 10th SPV this week. Working on several rounds starting September 1st!

Startup things I think are cool

• Jammed with Sarah on what they are building at ContractorHub. They are going after being the operating software for roofers first.

• Met Ankur, who is building Waitly. They use AI to fill open appointment slots. They already have several DSO and MSO customers.

• Workshopped with Matt. He just got his 3rd customer and I am very excited about what he is building!

• Nashville Tech Ops Community, Wednesday, September 9th @ 5:30pm

  • A meetup exclusively for folks who work in operations at tech companies. Any type of ops fits in though!

• Founder Finance 201, Thursday, September 10th @ 12pm

  • We are going to be covering everything you need to know about your numbers to go raise $$$!!!! Plus lunch.

• Nashville Customer Success Community, Thursday, September 10th @ 5:30pm

  • A meetup exclusively for folks who work in customer success.
