• The RHOdeo, Tuesday, Sept 15, 7:30–9pm @ Wild Beaver Saloon

  • Mechanical bull riding competition. Longest ride wins. Rho is covering the rides and there are drink tickets at the door.

• Lighthouse Open House, Wednesday, Sept 16, 9–10:30am @ the Lighthouse

  • We almost never open the house up to the public, so this is your chance!! Coffee truck out front, come see the space and meet the people building in it. Thank you to Derrick (FBT), Andrea (Rho), and Tommy (Riverfront) for helping me make it happen.

• Startup & Tech Job Fair, Wednesday, Sept 16, 11am–2pm @ Brooklyn Bowl

  • If you want to see what is happening in Nashville tech, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE. Open to all of Tennessee tech, you do not need a 3686 badge to come (but you def should attend the actual 3686 conference). You can see participating companies below.

Reflections

I can't shake the feeling that I'm behind right now. Which is a little absurd, because I don't think I actually am. It's just how I'm wired, I always need to be moving toward the next thing. It’s a gift and a curse, it's a big part of why I'm decent at this work as a founder and an investor, but it also means sitting still feels almost physically uncomfortable.

This summer I did a TON of travel, 4 weddings (because that is very much the season of life I’m in), a big 30th bday trip, and a girls trip. I’m glad I did it all, but I am feeling sooo ready to lock in.

The fall to-do list is long. More investments to make. SPVs to run. And the one that's been nagging at me all summer: figuring out how to scale talent, which I wanted to be much further along on than I am.

So, time to go heads down and find a way to get a little bit better each day!!!

Last weekend, Mr Zap’s brother got married in Lake George, NY! It was great to meet his entire extended family.
